Golden Rod 4-H Multi Club
Golden Rod 4-H Multi is a Non-Livestock club and was started in 1975. Our projects for 2010-2011 include Foods, Quilting, Photography, Welding, Outdoorsman, Travel, Business Cents, Pet, Party Planning & Leadership. We have 33 members and 21 families.
Our meetings are held the 1st Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Golden Rod Community Hall located 10 km west of Airdrie on Hwy. 567. Registration for the club is held in September with the 1st business/project meeting held in October. Achievement Day is held in later May. Our last official project is held at the beginning of June when we do our community service project followed by a social activity.
For the past couple of years we have held a Community Halloween Dance for our major fundraiser. The club also participants in the Electronics roundup in the Fall (September to November) and Spring (April to June). We accept computers, monitors, laptops and any size of television (including the old cabinet TVs).
Communication Competitions (including Public Speaking & Presentations) will once again happen in February 2011 at the Airdrie Agriculture Bldg.
