Proposed Agricultural Park

It’s Full Steam Ahead with Airdrie Ag Society’s Plans for Agricultural Park west of Airdrie

Sept 7, 2010 – Airdrie & District Agricultural Society has received approval from Rocky View County for their land use redesignation application.

The Agricultural Park, located 1.5 miles west of Airdrie on Big Hill Springs Road, is intended to be accessible to a multitude of organizations. It will contain facilities for a variety of agricultural related events and multi-use buildings for a wide range of additional events. It also includes a wetland and interpretive trails as well as a seasonal RV Park for site users and the public, which will provide revenue to help offset the cost of operations. A small commercial development as appropriate to the purpose of the site will provide additional revenue.
