Ag Park Project
Proposed Agricultural Park - Update - March 11, 2013
In the late 1990’s we purchased land West of Airdrie. For several years we have been planning an exciting project with agriculture facilities and other amenities, such as an RV park. A great deal of planning was done to ensure we were well prepared. This included establishing a Master Site Development Plan. Last year, to ensure we continued to do our due diligence before beginning construction, we undertook a Sustainability Study to look at the overall plan. Recently, we received the results of the study. Unfortunately, the study’s authors have determined the project in its current form is not sustainable.
The Project’s Future
The ADAS will move forward with a structured evaluation method. This will include identifying and assessing potential usage scenarios, for determining the future of the project. While the project is currently on hold, the society will continue to operate as normal. We will continue to run numerous family-friendly events and activities.
