Spring 2012: Welcome to the Airdrie & District Agricultural Society’s updated website.  We are absolutely thrilled with it and want to express our appreciation to our Communications Committee for their time & talent and to Rocky View County for their continued support of our Ag Society.

We are continuing the work we've started on our Agricultural and Recreational Park and invited anyone who has an interest in this fabulous project to come visit us @ Booth 103 @ the Airdrie Home & Life Style Show April 28 & 29, 2012 @ Genesis Place. Thank you to those who joined us and provided feedback.

We have a number of events on the go this spring & summer and I encourage you to come visit us.  Here's what's up:

• AGM - April 23 @ 7p @ Airdrie Ag Bldg - 97 East Lake Ramp.  A great turnout and we confirmed our Directors for the next 1, 2 and 3 year terms. 
• Director's meeting - April 23 - Was immediately following the AGM - same location.  All members and future members are welcome to all Director's meetings. We elected our executive and I am thrilled to advise I will be serving as your President for the next year.
• Heritage Farm Site - April 28 - We started the breaking, disking and seeding activity on Saturday April 28 and finished sowing oats on the 3 acres we planned to do on Sunday April 29, just before the rains came!  A small group of volunteers brought their vintage equipment and enthusiasm for a work day.  A number of spectators stopped by to see this old time equipment and work.

• Airdrie Home & Life Style Show - April 28 & 29 - Booth 103 @ Genesis Place.  Thanks again to those stopped to visit and provide feedback. 
• Director's meetings - May 28 & June 25 @ 7:30p@ Airdrie Ag Bldg - 97 East Lake Ramp - all members and future members are welcome!!
• Jr Rodeo - June 27 - July 1 @ Airdrie Rodeo grounds - 1 hr before Airdrie Pro Rodeo - come see the wee ones have fun!! 
• Airdrie Ag Society's Ranch Rodeo - New date and location!!! - Saturday July 21 at 9a @ Irvine Tack & Trailers - just east of Crossfield.  It's free to watch and a great way to see what really happens on a working cattle ranch.  Want to enter a team?  E-Mail us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. • 49th annual Fall Fair - Horticulture & Bench Show @ Genesis Place in Airdrie - Sat Aug 18 - bring your entries; Sun Aug 19 - open for viewing.
