Approval for Land Use Redesignation

Airdrie & District Agricultural Society has received approval from Rocky View County for their land use redesignation application.

This will facilitate the future development of a multi-use agricultural, rodeo and recreational complex.

The Agricultural Park, located 1.5 miles west of Airdrie on Big Hill Springs Road, is intended to be accessible to a multitude of organizations. It will contain facilities for a variety of agricultural related events and multi-use buildings for a wide range of additional events. It also includes a wetland and interpretive trails, as well as a seasonal RV Park for site users and the public, which will provide revenue to help offset the cost of operations. A small commercial development as appropriate to the purpose of the site will provide additional revenue.
